PAIN MANAGEMENT

Back Massage

Acupuncture has been used in Asia for centuries to relieve pain. It involves the insertion of extremely fine needles into the skin at specific acupoints and this may relieve pain by stimulating the body and brain to release endorphins and serotonin.

How does pain management work?

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), researches revealed that acupuncture does work particularly well on chronic pain. The constant treatment for pain management through acupuncture can help you get rid of the pain killers. Lower back pain, shoulder pain, or knee pain are confirmed to be effective.

It often reduces the incidence and severity of body pain. “Therefore,” the NIH concludes, “acupuncture appears to be a reasonable option for people with chronic pain to consider.”
