Dr. Rajivan Maniam is a double-board certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine specialist practicing in Manhattan. After receiving his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Maniam completed his anesthesiology residency at Columbia University Medical Center and his interventional pain medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s hospital.

In addition to his extensive training in interventional pain procedures during fellowship, Dr. Maniam also received training in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine and regenerative medicine through the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation. Functional Medicine is an approach that focuses on discovering the root cause of disease and tailoring a personalized treatment plan to treat the body as a whole. By integrating interventional pain medicine, regenerative medicine, and functional medicine, Dr. Maniam has helped countless patients improve their pain and quality of life, all without the use of opioids and unnecessary surgery.
As the co-founder of Ospina Medical and previous Medical Director of the Comprehensive Pain Program at Christiana Hospital, Dr. Maniam is an innovative physician that strives to provide the most evidence based and cutting edge therapies for his patients. He is continuously engaged in research trials and teaching efforts and remains active in several national medical societies, including the Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation, and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
