Dr. Matthew Kohler, the co-founder of Ospina Medical, is a double-board certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine specialist. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia, and completed both his Anesthesiology residency and Pain Medicine fellowship at the prestigious Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Kohler is invested in providing the highest quality care for his patients. He strongly believes in customizing treatment plans for each of his patients in order to maximize their ability to function and maintain a healthy lifestyle free of pain. Combining his extensive background in both research and clinical settings, Dr. Kohler offers a wide array of treatment options, such as regenerative medicine, nerve blocks, and spine and joint injections. Meanwhile, Dr. Kohler consistently keeps his skills and knowledge up-to-date through attending and speaking at numerous conferences and courses throughout the year, ensuring that his patients receive the most current, evidence-based care possible.

As a cancer survivor himself, Dr. Kohler has a deep empathy for his patients. He is in touch with what his patients are going through physically and emotionally. Dr. Kohler’s personal experience not only fuels his motivation for optimizing patients’ quality of life, but also brings him unique insights on patient care. Dr. Kohler is also the Founder and President of the ChemoCare Foundation, dedicating himself to supporting children battling cancer.
